Back to Landscape Planning
Since 2006,AJA have been retained on a framework agreement by Countryside Council for Wales to advise on landscape issues associated with major planning applications, including EIAs, throughout Wales. Much of this work has been reviewing proposals for windfarms, but our commission has also included other major infrastructure and mixed use development projects.
AJA have also been commissioned by the National Trust to advise them on landscape issues in relation to renewable energy projects in some of the most sensitive locations within Wales. Our work has included the preparation of landscape and visual impact assessments and mitigation schemes in support of planning applications for PV at 10 flagship properties including Powis Castle, Llanerchaeron and Dinefwr. We were also commissioned to prepare a Best Practice Guide on Solar / PV.
We have also provided landscape and ecological consultancy to clients seeking to establish solar farms and waste to energy plants
